Hiring Project Assistants for Industry-Focused Research at RGIPT
To ensure timely completion and high-quality outcomes in industry-relevant research projects, RGIPT proposes to hire Project Assistants. Working under faculty supervision, these assistants will support project execution, data handling, technical documentation, and coordination with industry partners. The number of positions available in each department is listed in Annexure-I.
Objective
The primary objectives of hiring Project Assistants are to:
- Support faculty in project implementation, data collection, and analysis.
- Assist with technical documentation, report writing, and presentations.
- Coordinate with industry collaborators to ensure smooth project execution.
- Enhance project deliverables in line with industry needs.

Selection Criteria
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test and interview (online or offline).
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the selection process.
Financial Assistance and Terms of Engagement
- Remuneration: ₹9,000 per month (consolidated).
- Accommodation: Hostel accommodation at ₹75/day (mess facility on daily payment basis).
- Duration: Initially until March 31, 2025; extendable based on performance and project requirements.
- Appointment Mode: Purely temporary.
Opportunities for Career Progression
- Project Assistants may apply for Ph.D. admission at RGIPT (Even Semester 2025–26) if eligible.
- Selected GATE-qualified candidates will receive the full Institute Assistantship. RGIPT/IIT B.Tech graduates are exempt from the GATE requirement. Non-GATE candidates may continue with the same assistantship.
