Welcome to the Department of Electronics Engineering (ECE). The vision of the department is to offer Electronics engineering education and professional ethics of global standards through innovative methods of teaching and learning with practical orientation. The department aims to foster culture of innovation and research in the field of Electronics engineering by promoting establishment of labs and centres of excellence and enable students to develop skills to solve complex contemporary technological problems and provide a framework for promoting collaborative and multidisciplinary research activities. It aims to produce quality professionals in this field to compete globally and excel by carrying out basic and applied research in emerging areas by forging strong industry-institute interaction. The teaching and pedagogical regime adopted by the Department of Electronics Engineering encourages innovations, smart learning, and a student-centric experimental scenario. Modern teaching methodology powered with robust mentoring in a project-based mode fuels advanced learning. Extensive focus is laid on hands-on workshops, practical /immersion modules, in line with the course contents for students’ integration with industry experts. The courses are meticulously designed and planned to cater to individual industry demands. The department focuses on stimulating talent which is professionally superior in meeting global challenges of the industry.

The department offers undergraduate (B. Tech) in Electronics Engineering. For undergraduate studies, subjects related to Microelectronics, Digital techniques & Instrumentation, and Communication systems are accommodated for a wide knowledge of the various fields of electronics. The subjects offered in the curriculum are designed such that they cover almost all the significant subjects dedicated for the industrial applications along with the fundamental concepts. The department also offers Doctoral program in emerging areas of Electronics Engineering. Along with this, advanced courses on Embedded systems, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Internet of Things are also incorporated in the syllabus to make students industry ready.  The department has experienced and well qualified faculty. Faculty members are actively involved in research activities. The major areas of faculty expertise of the department include Signal Processing, Communication, Antenna, Microwave, Microelectronics, MEMS, Power electronics, Electrical drives, Renewable Energy, Opto-electronic devices. The Department actively involves and encourages interdisciplinary research for industry-oriented applications.
