PhD in Mathematics and Statistics

The Ph.D. Program offers an exciting and unique opportunity to students for pursuing research in several areas of Mathematical Sciences (including Statistics). An important component of this programme is to inculcate a habit of independent thinking and initiative by the candidates in planning and execution of the research work. The emphasis is on understanding the scientific basis and theoretical background involved in solving problems of practical importance using multidisciplinary approach.
