The office of Dean Students’ Affairs looks after the general welfare of the students outside the classroom which contribute to the growth and development of their personality. The office shall endeavour to promote understanding among the students for full realisation of their potential through fruitful intellectual, social and cultural life at the Institute.

Following tasks are being carried out by this office:

• To arrange for congenial living environment in the campus including Hostels for the students.
• To advice Student Council as and when required, liaison between Institute Administration and students for the welfare of students.
• Monitor campus discipline of the students and coordinate the same with the hostel wardens.
• Coordinating with anti-ragging committee, anti-ragging squad and standing committee of anti-ragging committee to ensure ragging free campus.
• Encourage healthy living and positive relationships among students and the campus community.
• Plan and organize various extra-curricular activities.
• Manage and act as Faculty advisor for students’ events including Energia, Kaltarang, Urjotsav, any other events etc. and coordinates dates, timing, preparation of budgets and provision of funds.
