Prior to joining the Department of Sciences and Humanities at RGIPT in February 2022, Dr Shailendra Tripathi was working with Dehradun-based CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum as Senior Principal Scientist and AcSIR Professor in Chemical Sciences. He had his Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University and began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. His research career which spanned more than two decades at CSIR-Indian Institute of Petroleum mainly focused on the development of catalyst(s) for numerous facets of petroleum refining and petrochemicals including catalysis for methane utilization.
A life member of the Catalysis Society of India and Indian Society of Analytical Scientists, his work related to the usage of XRD methods for characterization of materials was recognized and appreciated by the International Centre of Diffraction Data, Pennsylvania USA. He has more than 50 research publications and 03 patents to his credit.
