FACULTY PROFILE

After the completion of Ph D. from IIT Kharagpur in 2009, Dr Kundu joined the RGIPT, Rae Bareli as Assistant Professor in Mathematics. He had his M.Sc. from Jadavpur University and BSc from Burdwan University. Dr. Kundu is a hardworking, enthusiastic about taking up new challenges and courageous person with polite attitude. He has a profound devotion and keen interest in teaching and research. He believes in research through teaching and teaching through research. Here at RGIPT, he has taught couple of courses on mathematics and statistics for B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. students. He was adjudged to receive the Best Teacher Award 2011-12 by RGIPT for excellence in teaching.

Currently, he is working as Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at RGIPT, Jais. Prof. Kundu has gained significant experience in the field of reliability theory, to be more specific, stochastic ordering and ageing, characterizations, order statistics and record values and, statistical information theory during his doctoral study as well as stay at RGIPT. However, his majority contributions have been on the measure of uncertainty. Till date he has completed two sponsored projects funded by SERB, DST and NBHM, DAE in which three Ph.D. students have been awarded. In addition, one more project has recently been approved by NBHM, DAE. Prof. Kundu is actively involved in reviewing/publishing manuscripts in referred journals of international repute.
