FACULTY PROFILE

Dr Abhishek Parida is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Jais. He completed his M Tech and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Guwahati, where his doctoral research was supported by the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) and recognized with the Institute Best Thesis Award. He previously conducted advanced research as a visiting scholar at Griffith University, Australia, and subsequently served as a DAAD Postdoctoral Fellow at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).

His research focuses on sustainable energy systems, clean hydrogen infrastructure, and thermochemical processes. His work integrates Multiphysics modelling, experimental testing, and advanced control strategies, including Model Predictive Control, to advance scalable clean energy technologies. Dr. Parida has published over 12 peer-reviewed articles in reputed international journals and conference proceedings, and holds a patent (published).
