Dr Riya Wadhwa is currently working as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics in the Department of Energy and Human Sciences at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT). She completed her PhD in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, where her research focused on two-dimensional (2D) materials and their heterostructures for photodetector and gas sensing applications. Prior to joining RGIPT, she was a post-doctoral researcher at IIT Bombay in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science, where she worked on the development of organic electrochemical transistor (OECT)-based biosensors. Her broader research interests span 2D materials, semiconductors, and electronic devices including solar cells, sensors and flexible and wearable technologies, with a strong focus on developing scalable and high-performance device platforms.
